Abandoned Spaces featuring SS17
"Last November, Reema Al Banna, the UAE-based designer behind the womenswear label Reemami, took home the grand prize for the ready-to-wear category in the 2016 DDFC/ Vogue Fashion Prize. Now, the Palestinian designer––known for her architectural shapes and hand-drawn illustrations––unveils a high-contrast photoshoot featuring muses of the brand dressed in the Spring 2017 collection, in collaboration withFarah Nasri of Hooked | HKD and Dubai-based photographer Sham Enbashi. Speaking to Vogue Arabia, Nasri shares: “The chiaroscuro effect of the images draws reference from the Renaissance period, while the styling is contrastingly modern, depicting a group of girls who love to dress in Reemami outfits and hang out in the city’s abandoned spaces.” By Vogue Arabia
